NLC Teen: “I noticed it as a message from God”
The following is one of the many letters we receive from DiscoveryBound (DB) National Leadership Council (NLC) teens every year that testify to the healing experiences happening in the program.
Dear Donor,
Thank you so much for helping me get to my NLC [service] trip this year. It has been so amazing and I have learned many things, not just in Christian Science, but also in my relationships with others [and] myself.
I have had eye-opening healings and gratitude, as well as a very fun time exploring and learning about new cultures. Exploring and recognizing the beauty of the world and seeing all the new types of building and people are so fascinating.
…one healing that really stuck out …was about my view of myself and the peace that I can find when I take the time to be vigilant and look into myself. We were on the beach and… we were doing a time where you sit quietly alone and sit with God… I was just thinking about my life and the idea, “I’m proud of myself,” came to me. I noticed it as a message from God because it’s something I struggle with. So thank you so much for the opportunities to have these!
