60th Reunion: Register Today!

60th-Zipline15spblog-imageWhether you’ve been waiting for this event since the 50th or it’s your first reunion, it’s time to register for Adventure Unlimited’s 60th Reunion, August 21-24! We hope the theme, “The Adventure Continues,” will inspire you to return to the people and place you love, and to stay connected long after your fun-filled weekend at the A/U Ranches is over.

Highlights will include favorite ranch activities, games, workshops, guest speakers, career networking, an expo to showcase your business, music, dancing and plenty of time to reconnect with your friends. The valley is expecting many visitors this weekend, so be sure to reserve early.

Here’s what some alumni are saying about it:

“I’m really excited to attend the 60th reunion this year because it will be an opportunity to connect with long-time friends from A/U who I don’t get a chance to see very often,” says Kynan Witters Hicks, who was a camper and staff member at the Ranches, is a graduate of DiscoveryBound’s National Leadership Council, and is a DB Outreach alumnus. “I also look forward to forging connections with new people that I hope will blossom into friendships, professional networks and outlets for conversation about Christian Science.”

“So many friends I still keep in touch with today were a huge part of the 15-plus years I was playing and working at camp,” says Steve Chitwood, a former camper, wrangler and rafter. “I’ll be at the reunion to catch up with these amazing folks.”

All alumni, practicing Christian Science or not, and their spouses and friends are welcome! Not sure if you’re an alumnus/alumna? If you…

  • are 18 years or older
  • are a current or former A/U Ranches staff member, camper, bunkhouse parent or volunteer
  • are a current or former DiscoveryBound staff member, participant, church contact, chapter worker, chaperone, facilitator or volunteer
  • are a graduate of DB’s National Leadership Council or a parent or mentor of a graduate
  • have participated in Adult/Family programs, including A/U Adult Expeditions
  • are current or former headquarters staff
  • are a current or former trustee

…then you’re part of the alumni family!

Looking for a little more adventure? Join us for hiking, biking and riding horses at mini-camp right before the reunion, August 17-21.

Important deadline: If you’re planning to book lodging in Buena Vista, please note that a music festival will be held in Salida during the 60th Reunion weekend, so you’ll want to reserve early. Adventure Unlimited has blocked rooms at area hotels, but they’re only available until June 1. List of  blocked hotels
