Serendipity cannot be planned, yet for A/U Ranches alumni attending Adult Mini Camp, it is almost guaranteed. You make surprise connections, rekindle past friendships, and meet new friends, often becoming friends for life.

For many A/U Ranches mountaineering alumni – plus those of us on the National Alumni Board (NAB) – the Mountaineering Reunion held during Mini Camp in August was a happy reconnection several years in the making.
With five summers of experimenting with program activities and overnight trips, Cap Andrews, I think, was looking for something new to challenge those campers who had already “done it all.” Thus came into being The Four Peaks Trip, an overnight at Kite Lake above Alma, CO, and a one-day ascent of four 14,000-foot peaks.
This fun-filled week will include mountain activities like hiking, swimming, ropes course, archery, rock climbing and more. Don’t miss this special opportunity to reunite with your fellow alumni in the Rocky Mountains.
Our shared single goal as a group – no matter how we go about it – is to connect alumni to the programs they know and love. The ways we connect with alumni extend from our phones, our computers, our prayerful work and our presence at programs around the country and at the A/U Ranches.
The National Alumni Board (NAB) of Adventure Unlimited held their annual retreat at the A/U Ranches, September 24-26. Thirteen out of 20 members gathered in person, and more attended virtually for committee planning sessions focused on serving alumni in the coming year.
