Alumni Impact on Bridges to the Future Campaign
With Adventure Unlimited’s Bridges to the Future Campaign ending on January 31, 2020, the word is out: Alumni can help us get to the finish line!
“It touches my heart how many alumni have supported this Campaign,” says Gina Lindquist-Bailey, Adventure Unlimited’s executive director. “More than half of the 947 Campaign donors are alumni of the A/U Ranches and A/U chapter or DiscoveryBound programs.”
As of October 9, alumni gifts comprised nearly 62% of total funding to the Campaign, which has received more than $16.2 million out of a $16.5 million goal. “Our alumni have an amazing opportunity to be a crucial piece of the final two key priorities that will benefit the Adventure Unlimited community for generations to come,” Gina says.
Here’s where alumni can help:
A/U Ranches: The Hub
Just $108,347 is still needed to complete the $1.25 million Campaign goal for constructing, landscaping and furnishing a new Hub administrative building, as well as repurpose the existing Hub building. Anyone who’s been in the Hub knows why the 1,420-square-foot building is no longer an adequate space for 14 staff members. Those who haven’t can get a sense of what it’s like to walk through it from this video:

DiscoveryBound Challenge: Endowment Fund
To fully fund the DiscoveryBound (DB) Endowment Fund, $125,865 out of $1 million is still needed – and thanks to a generous $500,000 challenge grant, every dollar donated to the fund will be matched until the goal is reached.
One DB Outreach participant this year shared why this program is important:
It was a blessed weekend with other Christian Scientists from all over the U.S. We talked continually about Christian Science as we also applied it to each part of the trip. What a joy to be able to share that experience and that practical application with so many new and past friends. I have some new ideas to work with in my personal life.
