It’s Almost Here: The 60th Reunion!

There are so many reasons to come to Adventure Unlimited’s 60th Reunion: seeing longtime friends, listening to great music, breathing that sweet mountain air, and dozens more. But the most important reason we want you to come is that you are a loved and important part of this family. […]

Coming Home

I’ve always had fond memories of my time inside the ponderosa-dotted tree line tucked beneath Mt. Yale and Mt. Columbia that surrounds the A/U Ranches. After going to the Ranches for two years as a camper and three years on staff, it’s become a cherished place for me to come back to year after year. […]

Linda Appleby: A Living Prayer

It is clear that – like the wind we do not see, but which we observe in the way that it moves the leaves in an aspen grove or lifts the eagle on its thermals – Linda, too, continues to move our hearts and lift our expectations about generosity, joy and grace through her example. […]

The Best Day of Summer

For most kids, August means that it’s almost September, a.k.a. almost time for school. And, as nerdy as I was as a child, my excitement for the first day of school was rivaled by only one thing: the annual DiscoveryBound picnic. […]

A Journey to Camp, Guided by Hope

When I was a girl, my best friend would tell me all about the camp she went to each summer. It sounded like heaven on earth. But it came with a price tag that, for my family – with eight children to feed, clothe, and educate – was insurmountably out of reach. But, I was blessed. I had a friend, a best friend, who shared her camp experience with me in every way she could.

Harvest Song: Recognizing God’s Control

Like all of the summer camp majors at the A/U Ranches, Horsemanship pushes its riders to put their whole trust in God and overcome limitations. Grace was pushed in an unexpected way last summer. A Sky Valley camper, she had barely settled onto the back of her mount when the horse bucked, throwing her. Instantly the staff were at her side, offering powerful statements of truth […]

Learning to Heal the World Together

The New Testament call to be in this world, but not of it, resonated throughout this year’s DiscoveryBound National Leadership Council All Class Retreat (ACR). Participants focused on the theme of “Genuine Goodness” as a vital healing perspective the world needs. A highlight of the weekend was the keynote talk by The Christian Science Monitor’s director of content strategy, Abe McLaughlin. […]
