Spring 2020: Get Involved from Wherever You Are
While everyone is staying at home, we’re still planning activities for when we can come together again. There’s something here for every alum to do. Join us!
An Update from the Executive Director
In the last few months, our world has changed substantially. The Adventure Unlimited staff, like so many of you, has been working remotely, finding new ways to execute our mission of Opening Windows to God. We’ve also been making decisions on a daily basis about the future of Adventure Unlimited programs in the coming months.
Mine Eyes Look Toward the Mountains
We are getting very excited to see all of you back at the A/U Ranches this August for what is sure to be the ultimate reunion. Whether you were on staff as a guide or a camper that majored in mountaineering like me, or someone who came to enjoy hiking as an adult, this is an event not to miss. The mountains are calling. Will you answer?
Mountaineering Memories: Hap Holly
I scaled my first mountain at A/U’s College Stampede. Those not wishing to ascend Collegiate peaks such as Harvard, Yale, Columbia, or Princeton, were given the option to go on so-called cake walks to Harvard Lakes or Brown’s cabin. I reluctantly signed up the night before the climb to abuse my big, fine body climbing Mt. Elbert, Colorado’s highest peak.
Alumni Profiles: Where Are They Now?
Zipline catches up with alumni of A/U Ranches and DiscoveryBound (formerly A/U chapters) programs: Justin Froese, Kate Rott and David Nutter Summerfield.
Winter 2020: Get Involved
Events for 20s/30s, Youth Camp, winter weekends – there’s a lot to get ready for in the year ahead, and we have just the avenue for you to connect with your Adventure Unlimited family.
Alumni Profiles: Where Are They Now?
Zipline catches up with alumni of A/U Ranches and DiscoveryBound (formerly A/U chapters) programs: Matt and Owen (Loose) Bissell, Jennifer (Little) Pierce and Cindy (Peyser) Safronoff.
Mountaineering Reunion 2020: Registration Is Open
In addition to welcoming everyone who loves participating in all aspects of Mini Camp, the A/U Ranches is inviting to the reunion past and present alumni (campers and staff) who hiked, peaked, backpacked, rock climbed, navigated the ropes course, caved, mountain biked and more.
Alumni Servant Leaders Stay Involved
Two graduates of the DiscoveryBound National Leadership Council who were also campers and counselors are serving the organization that supported them, now as impactful staff members.
Alumni Impact on Bridges to the Future Campaign
With Adventure Unlimited’s Bridges to the Future Campaign ending on January 31, 2020, the word is out: Alumni can help us get to the finish line!
